Tom Rumph, Managing Partner

Tom is currently Managing Partner at Rumph and Associates, P.C. and has been since establishing the company in March 2007. Tom is responsible for establishing the vision and mission of the company and ensuring a culture of family, excellence, social awareness and learning. Rumph and Associates provides services to commercial and governmental clients worldwide.

Tom has approximately 25 years' experience as a CPA. Tom oversaw the financial operations for an operating unit comprising 24 countries in southern and eastern Africa. During this time Tom had dealing with many government officials in the various countries regarding tax and other related country revenue issues.

Tom received his BBA from the University of Georgia and his MBA from the University of Houston. He is a licensed CPA in the states of Georgia and Alabama.

Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs. Tom is also an active fund-raiser in several charities including the American Cancer Society and the National MS Society.


Freda Manning-Rumph, Chief Operating Officer

Freda received her BBA degree at the University of Georgia, and her MBA in Finance at the University of Houston.  Her career began as an IT professional in Houston, TX at Conoco, now known as ConocoPhillips.  She was then a Systems Analyst at Crawford & Company in Atlanta supporting the healthcare division. 

While living in Johannesburg, South Africa, Freda ventured into the education sector by creating and managing a computer lab for a chartered school there.  After returning to the U. S. Freda continued her career in the education sector working as a Technology Specialist in Fulton County schools for more than 10 years. 

She is now managing daily operations at the Rumph and Associates headquarters and continuing to promote the business and provide support services to the various clients.


Gwen Maditse, Managing Director

Johannesburg, South Africa

Gwen’s professional career began in the United States with the Internal Revenue Service in Atlanta, Georgia as a Tax Auditor in the student co-op program. After graduating cum laude from Clark-Atlanta University with a BA in Finance, Gwen worked at AT&T Bell Laboratories as an Assistant Financial Analyst and the BOC Group as a Financial Analyst. Subsequently, Gwen obtained a Juris Doctorate (law) degree from Seton Hall University Law School and is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association. As an admitted attorney, Gwen worked as a commercial lawyer for Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals in the areas of mergers, acquisitions, and licensing.

In South Africa, Gwen worked at Citigroup N.A. (Johannesburg) as Vice President in the Africa Division Compliance Department, with oversight of compliance officers in 11 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Citigroup, Gwen was employed at First National Bank’s head office in the dual role of Head of Retail Bank Division Compliance and Legal Advisor for the Interbank, Risk and Compliance department. Gwen’s primary responsibility was to establish a compliance function and structure at the division level and compliance reporting at EXCO, the Audit and Risk Committee Meetings and to First Rand Group Compliance. Gwen holds certificates in Compliance Management and Corporate Governance from Rand Afrikaans University (currently the University of Johannesburg).

Gwen is a board member of the Guiding Light Career Center, a not for profit organization that provides career education and guidance to school students, and the Baptist Theological College in Randburg, South Africa. Gwen, along with one of her colleagues, established a mentoring program for University Students in Johannesburg. The core purpose of the program is to assist the students with adapting to university life and transitioning from university to the work place.
